                                                     WALT: Report, Recount and Reflect 

When: Tuesday the 22nd of May

Where: Blockhouse bay reserve 

What: Orienteering Zones 

Why: Because we had orienteering as a sport and sometimes we always do zones on a sport.

Who: year 5's and 6's who were in Orienteering.

How: We had it as a sport.

On Tuesday the 22nd of May some of the year 5's and 6's went to Orienteering Zones and I was one of them! We had it at Blockhouse bay reserve, every year some students went to Zones! Orienteering is when you search for a click stand and with the paper that you have you have to click it on to the paper and that's one number gone!  And you had to keep going until you get to the end. I was the 3rd Girl to reach the end of the journey! Anyways I had so much fun but got really dirty, but its hard and fun at the same time! Here are some photos on the day!

   

SPY FOX STORY!!!!!!!!!

                                                   Hey my fellow bloggers!!!

During the week I was rewriting a film about a Fox that is a spy, So basically his name is Spy Fox! My writing had a choice they could either write the next adventure of Spy fox or tell the story in writing. I chose to rewrite the story and add detail into it. My story was a bout a Fox that saves other people/animals and his wife was one of them i'm not going to keep you bored and keep reading this description. Also you guys can give me some feedback on this if you would like to. Anyways  here is my writing!!

STORY 

‘WOW! Great hit Spy Fox! But i'm still tied up!” Said Lily

Once upon a time there lived a Fox his name was Spy fox he lived with his girlfriend Lily. They lived in a small town in a small house they were

Sad because they had no children and the wanted to have children but they thought it would cost to much money any other than that they were spy’s Lily wasn’t really a spy but Spy Fox counted her as one. They had friends the were penguins one name was Jack,Max and Sarah they were a happy family.

During the afternoon Max and Sarah wanted to teach there little one how to swim but he was scared to jump in the water but the Dad said “ go on jump in you’ll enjoy” So he did and then BANG!!! A lazer hit the rock and the whole family fell into the ocean and they didn’t come back up! So then spy fox left home to go and save the penguins.When they got to the the villain's place he crawled through a vent and he forgot that he did and just left it open left it like that

One of the workers saw and dropped everything in his hands and ran to tell the boss but when he got to the gate Spy Fox came and BANG! Spy Fox cme and knocked him to the ground and he boss heard a bang turned around and saw Spy Fox! “ well well well we meet again spy fox i’m hoping you're having a great day “ said the villain “ I was but then you came and wrecked everything up “ said Spy Fox”  “well I hope you and Lily had a great dinner” The villain said while he pressed the button on his chair and Spy Fox was wondering why he said that but then he heard a voice that sounded like Lily’s voice and he turned around and it was her she was about to get eaten by the machine.

Spy Fox was surrounded by the workers but he knew how to handle them. So he pointed somewhere and they all looked and Spy Fox knocked them out one by one and then he cut a rope to let his wife down, but when she dropped down she was surrounded to but then she knocked then out to! Spy Fox was surprised but then he got hit by a pole but he got back up and shakes his head and then BANG! He hit the last worker on the head! Lily ran to him to give him a hug for saving her life!

They quickly get to the car before the boss would come and finish him but little did the know that before the started to fight he went upstair to hide. Spy fox and Lily quickly ran to the car Spy fox set the car to plane mode and lily said “ now where were we?” But then the place blew up and they went back home!!!!!!

ZOO TRIP!!

                                                      HI GUYS ME AGAIN!!!!!!

In week seven the seniors got to go on a trip to the Zoo!! We were all put in a group with parent. When we first got tho the Zoo we got into two lines to walk to the meeting place. We talked a little about the rules and what we are going to do! The first animal I went to see was a Pig! But when we got to the Pig section they were sleeping and it smelt really bad! But the next animal was a tiger but then again the Tiger was sleeping! When we finished exploring we had to come back to the meeting place and went to explore with the guiders. it was really fun to because we got to see a kiwi one fact I knew about the kiwi was that a female kiwi was in trouble because there was a egg stuck in her tummy so she had to go and have surgery and the male kiwi forgot about the female so they had to put a fence in between them to get to know more about each other! Also we got to go into the BUG LAB it was gross but fun at the same time. my group was so carried away that we lost each other!! Any ways here are some photo's on the trip!!!!

ART SHOW!!!!!

                                   HEY MY FELLOW BLOGGERS!!!!!!

This term at Waikowhai Primary school we have all been working on art for a art show which we do every second year. Every class had to do something which was based on what there teacher said to do! My class is working on making a NZ fish made out of paper mache. And then we had to make a background based underwater to put our fish on top. I am actually proud of the work I have done! Here are some photos of my class working on their art!!!!  

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AT OUR ART SHOW IN WEEK NINE ON TUESDAY THE TWENTY SIXth OF JUNE!!!!!!!!

Our  next step is to cut our fish in half and stick it onto cardboard then our background. We had to make the fins and tail and put them onto the fish.

Reflection 

It was a really fun activity to do and I can't wait for them to be shown on the show!!! 

TIRITIRI MATANGI TRIP!!!!!!!!

                                                  Hey bloggers!!

Last week the seniors got to go on a trip to Tiritiri Matangi island! When we got to the island we got to listen to a woman who did a speech about the island and then we got into groups and went to explore the island. The first bird I saw was a fantail! And we kept on walking until we reached the top of the island. We talked for a while then it was time to go up to the lighthouse to have lunch then get ready for the scavenger hunt. 2 things that I learnt was that if there was 1 stoat on the island it would wipe out all the birds and that you can tell if there's a bird on a branch if it is on a branch it will move consistently but if there isn't a bird on there it ill stay in the same position. My favourite part is when we saw two of my favourite birds  on the same branch! My opinion about Tiritiri Matangi island it that it is a place where you can explore and learn about birds and that you can see the Takahe!!! I felt really excited when I first got onto the island but then I got really tired of walking around but then I finally reached the top! Although I really liked how the day went because I learnt new things about birds on the island!
