Christchurch Special assembly

Hello My fellow Bloggers!

On Monday the 18th of March our school had a Special assembly. This assembly was to show respect people in Christchurch who lost their loved ones and to the Muslim families at our school. We sang the National Anthem and sang our school song Aotearoa. We had  2 minutes of silence. The song Aotearoa talks about how New Zealand is a home to everyone and how this country is a safe place to live. We CAN stop racism by donating money to the Muslim family's you can use this website Give a little  to donate and help them.  Think about:  what can you do to stop racism? Please leave a comment on how you can stop it. Also in our special assembly we went outside to our friendship bench and planted a Kowahi tree, the reason why we planted the tree next to the friendship bench was because we are all a team and friends in this country. We made cards for the helpers and family's too.Why did we plant a Kowhai tree instead of another tree? We planted a Kowhai tree because Kowhai is part of our school name and we represent that tree. Last Friday the 22nd of March most New Zealanders went to a mosque and gathered around for the Muslims to go back inside of the Mosque because some Muslims were scared about it happening again but New Zealand made it a safe place for them again. We  had our community fun day on Friday and did the 2 minutes of silence. Here are some photos of the day.

I think that it was really good that New Zealand came together for this event because it's telling the whole word that we CAN help those who have been lost. I also think that you guys can help them by making cards for the family's and helpers.

Getting to know me!

Hello my fellow bloggers!

Today I'm going to be talking about my Getting To know you form. It is about myself, my family and my friends. In the Getting To know form you can also use as many information as you want.  I am going to give you information about myself and then insert my Getting to know you form at the bottom. The things I like are eating butter chicken and pizza. I also like Netball and I also like hanging out with my friends. But I mostly like bonding with family. What do you like doing? The things I don't like is slug and snails because it’s disgusting! I know that you guys are going to learn lots about me because some of you don’t know me that well! Anyways here is my Getting to know you form.

Reflection

Welcome to 2019!

Hey my fellow bloggers!

Welcome back! This year I have the same class but different Students. It's really different having different Students in our digital class rooms. So far I have joined all the spot groups that have been given to us to sign up for. I joined Softball, Ripper, Soccer and swimming. My favourite sport right now is Ripper rugby because it has been one of my favourite sports for so long. The responsibility that I have for 2019 is Leadership, Backtrack and Jumpjam. So far my favourite responsibility is Leadership because I have always wanted to be in leadership, it seemed so fun. Also the responsibility is about playing with the younger students and setting a good example for them My teacher had changed too! This year I have Mrs Jones. She is one of the funnest teachers in the school. I am getting used to the students in my class since it's the 4th week of the year. We are a digital class room and my class is called Manukau with Mrs Jones, Waitemata with Miss Daly and Hauraki with Ms Sand but she is away so Miss Mcgrath is taking over for her.  I think that's all for now folks. Bye!

Reflection

So far 2019 has been going well, there has been alot of sports going on. I really like how we have been getting along and getting used to each other. But I really miss last year because it was really fun being a year 5 and always having YR 6 friends. But I am liking it like so far like I said before.
