Gumboot Friday

Hello my fellow bloggers

Today I am going to be blogging about Gumboot Friday. Gumboot Friday is when you help Mental health and support the kids who need help, and who don’t think good about themselves. On Friday we started to write little messages that were quotes, we wrote them on colourful thick paper notes. We continued until Tuesday, we got to deliver them!
We put them into other random people’s letterboxes. We were in little groups of 9 and 8. We got parent helpers to help us out to take us students to different streets.
This relates to our Inquiry topic because if you have good Mental health then you have good well-being but if you don’t have good mental health then you kinda don’t have good well-being. The head of gumboot Friday was a man who won New Zealander of 2018 his name was Mike king.
I think it is really helpful that we got to help Mental health because we received and email from Sally, ( our office worker )  she said that she got an call from a mother that had a son who had mental health and he received a card! He read it and he was uplifted by the message that he got. Sally said that the mother of the son was almost crying because of her son’s reaction to the card.
If you have spare time please Donate to Mental health! Anyways here are some photos of the day and cards that we wrote. Please give me some feedback to help me with my blog posts, if you have any suggestions oh what you want me to blog on please comment about it and tell me about what you're school did for Gumboot Friday if you're school celebrated it. I’m sorry you had to read this whole blog writing thing but hey! At least you learned something right?
If you did comment about it. Anyways here are some photos of the day and cards that we wrote.

Blog you later!

Football Zones!

Hello my fellow bloggers

Today I am going to be talking about Football Zones. Our school participated it on the 4th of April 2019 at Mt Eden Park. We had two teams and girl team and  boy team. Our coaches were Mr Rattenbury and Dave. It was one of the first football zones if 3 years so it was pretty special for us to be playing for the first time in forever. The whole team had to come at 8:00 in the morning because we had to leave at 8:30 and the games started at 10:00. When we left it was about a 15 minute drive. When we got to Mt Eden we had to wait for the people to finish setting up the soccer fields. Their were 7 fields in total but we we didn't get to play on all of them. We also got to see the women's fifa champion trophy!  Also something very exciting happened to the all the teams there, we got to all walk into the Mt Eden park stadium! We took photos and videos, the videos that we took was going to be put on TV so I think it is going to be on TV next week Wednesday on sky sport 2 so make sure to be watching that channel. Our girl team is going to be put on TV, also because we did the pause challenge but I am not sure when and what channel it will be on. The girl team won 6 games and tied one and our boy team won all of their games! We would also like to thank all to the parents and supporters on that day who came to watch us. Oh and fun fact about the women's champion fifa trophy, no on can touch it with their bare hands but the people who won it and the Prime minister of that country. Here are some photos of the day!

I think that we showed great sportsmanship on the day and good on supporting each other in games and in my opinion. It was one of my favourite Zones and we were all proud of our results.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post but this is all for now folks bye!
